Illinois State secures 62-53 win against Evansville

Available again Davis (hand) logged four points (1-3 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and three rebounds across 19 minutes during Illinois State's exhibition game Saturday against Lewis.

Impact Now that Davis is healthy, he is expected to be available for the beginning of Illinois State's 2024-25 season. It is expected to be his last season of college basketball after he averaged 15.9 minutes, 3.5 points and 2.7 rebounds across 23 games as a redshirt junior.

Ideally for him, this will be a sign of things to come from the junior, especially while Max Klesmit (upper body) continues being likely to sit out because of his injury.

Impact While Jordan's twin brother Johnny was drafted 10th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, Jordan is sticking around at Wisconsin in hopes of expanding his role with the program. He's been largely a rotation afterthought, appearing in 27 games last season but only averaging 6.5 mpg. The Badgers are down two starters from last season in Johnny Davis and Brad Davison, and if these early exhibition lineups are any indication of what's to come, those spots could be taken up by Jordan and Wofford transfer Max Klesmit, though it is worth noting that Jahcobi Neath (knee) did not suit up for the contest.
