Six boards in return
Bruner had one point (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and six rebounds across 19 minutes in Saturday's 82-78 victory over Vanderbilt -- his first game since Jan. 12 due to a knee injury.
Impact
After nine games on the sidelines, Bruner was healthy enough to make the starting five for Senior Day and even saw close to his 21.6 mpg season average. He should provide a major boost to the Tide's post depth down the stretch, as Alabama is now just one win away from clinching a share of the SEC regular-season title.

Starting against Vanderbilt
Bruner is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Vanderbilt.
Impact
Bruner's return provides a huge boost for Alabama, and he will join the starting lineup in his first game after tearing his meniscus just over a month ago. Bruner has contributed 7.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks over 21.8 minutes per game this season.

Will play Saturday
Bruner (knee) will play in Saturday's contest against Vanderbilt, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
Impact
After tearing his meniscus just over a month ago, Bruner will return to the floor Saturday. His return figures to provide a boost for the Crimson Tide down low, where Bruner has contributed 7.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks over 21.8 minutes per game this season. It remains to be seen what type of usage he'll see in his first game back, but his return is good news nonetheless for Alabama.

Going through warmups
Bruner (knee) is partaking in pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's game against Vanderbilt, Charlie Potter of 247sports.com reports.
Impact
Head coach Nate Oats mentioned Friday that he was going to have some guys warm up ahead of the game and see how they feel so it seems Bruner's availability will hinge on how well he can go through the motions. The 6-10 senior has missed the last nine games after tearing his meniscus Jan. 12 so it's likely the trainers and coaching staff will proceed with caution when electing to bring him back.

Targeting Wednesday return
Bruner (knee) could return for Wednesday's game at Arkansas, Mike Rodak of AL.com reports.
Impact
Head coach Nate Oats said Friday that he's hoping to have Bruner, who is shooting and participating in drills, available for Wednesday's game. The senior has missed the past nine games due to a knee injury. Alex Reese has started eight of the past nine games in his place, averaging 7.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.6 steals over 20.3 minutes per game. Reese appears set to start again Saturday against Vanderbilt while Bruner sets his sights on a Wednesday return.

Not near return
Coach Nate Oats said Bruner (knee) remains "a couple weeks away" from retaking the court, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Bruner has been sidelined since Jan. 12 with the knee injury, and it appears he won't be returning to action in the immediate future. Alex Reese, James Rojas and Herb Jones should continue to split work at center for the Crimson Tide.

Hopeful to return in February
Coach Nate Oats said that they are hopeful that Bruner (knee) can return by early-to-mid February, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Bruner underwent a knee procedure back on Jan. 13. He had started every game this season for the Crimson Tide. Alex Reese should hold down the start at center for the next handful of games until Bruner can return to the court.

Expected to miss next month
Bruner (knee) is expected to be out at least one month, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
Impact
Bruner severely injured his knee during Tuesday's win against Kentucky, and now it's confirmed that the injury will prevent him from seeing the court over the next month. Bruner has started every game at the five position for the Crimson Tide this season, so the team will likely have to turn to Alex Reese, who's started all but five games last season, for production moving forward.

Out indefinitely after knee procedure
Bruner is out indefinitely after suffering a meniscus injury in his right knee Tuesday against Kentucky.
Impact
Bruner was set to undergo further evaluation Wednesday and ultimately ended up undergoing a procedure on the knee. While there isn't a timetable for return, Bruner expects "to make a full recovery and return to the lineup later this season." In the meantime, look for Alex Reese and James Rojas to see more work in the Alabama frontcourt.

Will be evaluated Wednesday
Bruner's knee injury will be evaluated Wednesday, Erik Hall of TuscaloosaNews.com reports.
Impact
Wednesday's evaluation will shed more light on the extent of Bruner's injury and how long he could be sidelined. Bruner left the game early in the second half after getting tangled up with a Kentucky player and never returned. Prior to leaving, the senior recorded eight points (3-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes. James Rojas entered the game after Bruner's injury, and he figures to pick up the bulk of Bruner's vacated minutes while he's out.

Exits game with knee injury
Bruner left Tuesday's game against Kentucky due to a knee injury, Michael Casagrande of AL.com reports.
Impact
Bruner is questionable to return. The big man was unable to put any weight on his right leg while leaving the court during the second half of Tuesday's contest. The team already lost Herb Jones (hand) during first half, so the Alabama frontcourt is down both starters and will look to James Rojas and Alex Reese to play significant minutes until the two starters are able to return.

Finest outing of season
Bruner totaled 20 points (7-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block in Saturday's win over Auburn.
Impact
Similar to about every Crimson Tide starter Saturday, Bruner turned in his finest outing of the season in this one, as the senior managed a new season high while being a major factor in every major statistical category. Before Saturday, Bruner reached double figures offensively just one other time, namely Dec. 19 against Western Kentucky.

Not living up to expectations
Bruner is averaging 6.9 points and 5.3 rebounds currently this year with Alabama.
Impact
The former Yale Bulldog is not living up to expectations with the Crimson Tide so far this season, as Bruner is coming off back-to-back campaigns averaging at least 10 points and eight rebounds per game. The center has only scored in double figures just one time in eight outings.
