Returning for another year Fulkerson announced Friday morning that he will be using his additional year of eligibility and returning to Tennessee, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Fulkerson will be back for a sixth season with the Volunteers after taking advantage of an extra year of eligibility that was provided to all fall and winter college athletes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 6-9 senior averaged double 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in 26.2 minutes per game this year but had his season cut short, as he missed the final two games after suffering a facial fracture and a concussion when he took two elbows to the head in the SEC Tournament from former Florida player Omar Payne. Fulkerson's play declined down the stretch last season, as lingering effects from contracting COVID may have come into play. He'll look to have a healthy and more productive season as the senior leader and glue guy for next year's squad.
