Heads back to bench Brunk is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Duke.
Impact Brunk made two consecutive appearances in the starting lineup but played a combined 13 minutes over that span. The former Hoosier has played a minimal role for the Buckeyes this season and that should continue against a tough opponent in Duke.

Seeing live action? Brunk (back) disclosed Sunday, via his unverified personal Twitter account, that he played in his first summer league game since back surgery last season.
Impact Brunk's 2020-21 season with Indiana didn't go as planned, as he battled back soreness for much of the early part of the year before getting surgery in roughly January to address the issue. After the year, the senior left the program and transferred in conference to Ohio State, where he'll presumably be taking one final lap on his collegiate career. Brunk is a capable inside force when healthy, as the 6-11 center put up 6.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in the 2019-20 campaign with the Hoosiers.

Not available Saturday Brunk (back) remains out for Saturday's clash against Indiana, Dylan Sinn of The Journal-Gazette reports.
Impact Brunk has been out all year due to a back injury that required surgery back on Dec. 30. Despite the severity of the injury and the timing of the surgery, head coach Archie Miller remained hopeful that he would be able to return at some point this season. The Hoosiers have four games until the Big Ten Tournament which doesn't give Brunk much more time to play before it could be all said and done for the team this year.

Impact After battling back pain in practices leading up to the start of the season, Brunk underwent surgery Dec. 30, hoping the procedure would provide a more permanent fix. Though Brunk will miss most of the season while conducting his rehab, the Hoosiers are hopeful he can play before the 2020-21 schedule comes to a close. Based on Miller's "one month" comment, the Hoosiers likely aren't planning for Brunk to be ready to play again until late February at the earliest.
JANUARY 19, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hopeful to return this season Coach Archie Miller appears hopeful that Brunk (back) can return at some point in the 2020-21 season, Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Impact Brunk underwent surgery to address a nagging back problem last Wednesday and is considered "out indefinitely." The issue first flared up in preseason practices, and while Brunk was able to return to practice in full as the season approached, the back flared up again and sidelined the fifth-year senior. Following surgery, Miller said that "I don't think it's the end of the question that he's done for this year, in terms of will he be out all year? I don't know." While Brunk's absence is almost certain to continue a few more weeks, the door is still open for a return that would seemingly happen just as the postseason approaches.

DECEMBER 19, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
May be out for some time Coach Archie Miller said the team is not planning on having Brunk (back) now or in the immediate future unless something changes, Zach Osterman of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Impact Brunk has not played yet this season as he continues to battle a back injury. It is starting to sound like coach Archie Miller may shut Brunk down for awhile to try and let him get healed up for the stretch run. It creates a real void in the middle for the Hoosier's in the meantime, however.
DECEMBER 8, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
