Healthy scratch against Illinois Hunter did not see the court Tuesday against Illinois due to what Archie Miller described as a "coach's decision," Chris Sims of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Impact Hunter has been one of the top reserve options for the Hoosiers this season, averaging 5.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 17.4 mpg across 16 appearances. It sounds like this instance isn't just a one-and-done, and that the sophomore forward could continue to face disciplinary actions from the team. Miller said after the game (in reference to Hunter) that "he's not going to take the floor again until the coach feels that he's in the right frame of mind to, No. 1, lead himself the right way, and, No. 2, has the bigger picture in mind in terms of protecting our team at all times." In Hunter's absence, Jordan Geronimo may see a bit more run off the bench, as his 13 minutes Tuesday were the freshman's highest total of Big Ten play.
