Impact Considering the severity of Sellers' injury when first described, it is not too surprising he did not play Central Florida's exhibition game Tuesday. To compensate, the Golden Knights moved Keyshawn Hall to their three and also started Benny Williams. Next for them is the regular season, beginning with a home matchup against Texas A&M on Monday.

Impact According to Vinel, Sellers exited the exhibition game via stretcher and never played said matchup again. There is no official report as to what injury he has exactly. Stephen Leonard of 247Sports said it looked like Sellers' knee got twisted up with a defender. Andrew Cherico of Sons of UCF posted a video of the injury-causing play, and while it could be true that Leonard is right, it is not conclusive. Cherico also mentioned Sellers' history of back problems, and Central Florida's head coach Johnny Dawkins did not clarify matters post-game, again per Cherico.

Impact Sellers broke his hand on the team's trip to Italy in preseason last year and played through the injury after undergoing surgery upon his return to Orlando. His announcement that he has been pain-free is encouraging, indicating that he will be at 100 percent heading int o the 2024-25 season.
