The 6-5 guard had his first surgery in 2021 after suffering a dislocated kneecap and was hoping to return during the middle of the season before suffering a setback that required a second surgery which sidelined him for the entire 2021-22 campaign. Ruffin played in the first 19 games of the year and was showing signs of improvement before suffering another setback with his knee in mid-January.
