Impact With Michael Jacobson out of the picture after graduating, it was initially assumed the two starting frontcourt spots would go to the 6-8 Solomon Young and the 6-10 George Conditt. While that could very well still be the case, it appears Johnson has earned his way into the rotation and could see his role expand even beyond that. Johnson may not have prototypical size for the four-spot at 6-6, but coach Steve Prohm did give both Zion Griffin (6-6) and Terrence Lewis (6-6) reps at the position in 2019-20, so using the Troy transfer in a similar manner isn't an outlandish idea. Johnson racked up 10.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists during the 2018-19 season with Troy, and assuming regular progression after sitting out a year, he could have a similar ceiling in a faster-paced offense in 2020-21.
