Cold from deep in loss Edwards closed Wednesday's 82-61 loss to Kentucky with 10 points (4-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one steal in 24 minutes.

Impact Edwards' 10-point outing was a disappointing effort in what ended up being a blowout loss to Kentucky. The guard was especially off from downtown, hitting just 1-of-6 shots from deep. Edwards shoots about 38 percent from distance this season, but it was just one of those nights. He'll look to bounce back against Mississippi on Saturday.

Impact Since re-joining the starting five, Edwards has certainly taken matters into his own hands as a scorer. He averages nearly 14 shots per-game in that time frame, and it's paying off as he's averaging 18.5 points in those games. He hasn't been the most efficient as a shooter, but the Commodores rely heavily upon his big-time scoring outputs. Unfortunately for Vanderbilt, it wasn't enough to upset Florida n Tuesday night.

Impact Edwards was deemed probable on the initial injury report for Saturday's contest, so it shouldn't be too surprising to see that the junior will indeed suit up for the Commodores. He's coming off a rough performance against Mississippi State that saw him fail to connect on any of his eight shot attempts while turning the ball over three times in 11 minutes, so the junior will aim to bounce back with a better showing in this one.

Impact Edwards has yet to miss a game this season, though he was limited to only 11 minutes in the loss to Mississippi State on Tuesday, apparently due to the same injury he's dealing with right now. Edwards has been outstanding for Vandy this season, scoring in double digits in every game but the last one regardless of whether he starts or comes off the bench.
