The senior guard enjoyed a solid season at South Carolina, though, averaging 13.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game in 28 appearances (26 starts) in 2024-25.

Impact Thomas didn't have the most efficient outing, but he did hit four triples en route to his first 20-point showing since Feb. 18. South Carolina fought valiantly against the Volunteers, but ultimately dropped their 16th SEC game in the regular season finale. Next up, the Gamecocks will take on Arkansas in the very first game of the SEC Tournament on March 12.

Impact Thomas remained a dangerous scoring threat against Missouri, but South Carolina was still completely out-classed en route to a 30-point loss. The senior guard was cold from distance (1-of-6 from three point range) but otherwise had a very solid performance, even though it will be obscured by yet another conference loss for South Carolina.

Impact Thomas' 23 points weren't enough to lift the Gamecocks over LSU for South Carolina's 13th straight loss to remain winless in conference play, but it was a season-high scoring output for the senior and his best game since re-entering the starting lineup. He'll look to build off this performance against Texas on Feb. 22.

Impact Thomas missed four games in January due to a knee injury but returned Jan. 25 in a reserve capacity, scoring 19 points and then repeating that effort in the following contest. He made his return to the starting five Saturday, however, re-taking the spot from Morris Ugusuk, who logged only 18 minutes in the contest. While the Gamecocks are off to a lowly 0-9 start to SEC play, the outlook for Thomas individually appears positive, especially if he can continue surpassing his pre-injury scoring marks.

The point guard will continue to be extremely valuable to South Carolina as SEC play stars.

Impact Thomas understandably isn't quite matching the scoring and assist marks he set last year at Norfolk State, but the 5-11 senior has played a valuable role upon his leap to the high-major level, starting every game at point guard for the 6-3 Gamecocks. He's also found his stride from distance of late. After being held without a three-pointer in his first three games, Thomas is converting at a rate of 45.2 percent over his last six, including five treys in Saturday's outing.
