Impact Reece is getting an opportunity to start with Dedan Thomas (foot) out. The 6-2 freshman has racked up 13 assists in two games as a started, but has only scored six points on 3-of-13 (23.1 percent) from the field. The Tigers had more turnovers than assists (14:12). If Thomas can't return Saturday against Vanderbilt, Reece will likely start again.

Impact The 6-0 freshman started for Dedan Thomas (foot) and set up the offense nicely. His shooting left something to be desired, but the numbers were in line with the rest of his first season in Baton Rouge. Reece is converting just 35.4 percent on field goals and 15.8 percent from long range. If Thomas remains out, Reece could be looked at as an assist-only add.

Impact The 6-0 freshman had his best game of the season. Because of the blowout nature of the game, Reece was able to play more minutes and showed off some of his skills. His previous high in points was eight and assists was four. Reece is a quality backup point guard, but will be limited as long as Dedan Thomas is starting at point guard.
