Impact Lowe was deemed a game-time call, but it appears the Wildcats' star guard has been ruled out the morning of Kentucky's opener. Lowe was banged up throughout the preseason and sat out exhibition contests but was still considered a possibility for the opener against Nicholls. With Denzel Aberdeen a game-time call as well, it's unclear who will run point for Kentucky Tuesday night.

Looking like game-time decision Lowe (shoulder) is looking like a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against Nicholls State, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact Kentucky's head coach Mark Pope recently told Rothstein that he is unsure of whether or not Lowe will be available when the 2025-26 Wildcats begin their regular season. Even though they will be one of few teams logging their regular-season opener after Monday, it looks like his availability is going to be pushed to the wire. Lowe's role may be secured, but he may firmly establish it Tuesday, especially if Denzel Aberdeen (leg) is out then.

Out for exhibition game Lowe (shoulder) is out for Thursday's exhibition game against Georgetown, Andrew Stefaniak of SI.com reports.

Impact Lowe will remain sidelined through Kentucky's final exhibition game as the team prepares for the 2025-26 season. The 6-foot-3 junior suffered the shoulder injury two weeks ago during a scrimmage. His absence Thursday will hopefully provide him with enough rest to play in the Wildcats' season opener against Nicholls State.

Impact Lowe suffered a shoulder injury during a scrimmage one week before the exhibition opener, so it's not too surprising to see the Pitt transfer sit out a relatively inconsequential tune-up game. Otega Oweh (10 points) and Denzel Aberdeen (nine points) made up the starting backcourt in Lowe's stead, while Trent Noah (10 points) got the nod at small forward. Lowe has another chance to suit up in exhibition play Oct. 30 against Georgetown in advance of the Nov. 4 season opener against Nicholls.
