Out for Crown Telfort (pro draft prep) is out for the 2025 College Basketball Crown, according to Butler's announcement Monday.

Impact Butler's 2024-25 team failed to qualify for March Madness 2025 and this year's National Invitational Tournament. Butler accepted an invitation to the College Basketball Crown, a newly created 16-team tournament at Paradise. But to focus on his pro career, Telfort will be out for the tournament. As a redshirt senior, he logged 16.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.3 three-pointers made per game.

Impact Butler snapped a relatively surprising three-game winning streak Tuesday, but Telfort still put forth a solid all-around stat line that surpassed his season-long averages in scoring and rebounding. While the fifth-year senior has improved across the board this year and been a solid fantasy asset, it's still far from enough to position Thad Matta's squad for an NCAA Tournament berth.
