Still not practicing Jones (back) isn't yet practicing with the Sooners, Rivals.com reports.

Impact Jones has yet to play this season as he continues to recover from a back injury. The coaching staff is reportedly being cautious, as it's harder to play through a back injury and that could lead to serious setbacks. Jones won't play on Tuesday against Georgia Tech, but could have a chance to return on Saturday against Alcorn State.

Out Thursday night Jones (back) won't be available for Oklahoma on Thursday night against Texas A&M-Commerce, Josh Calloway of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Jones will miss his fourth straight game, as the guard has yet to play this season. The Long Beach transfer averaged 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.8 steals last year. He figures to work his way into the rotation upon his return.

Out "a little longer" Jones remains out with a back injury, but should return soon, Tom Green of AL.com reports.

Impact Jones will remain out "a little longer" according to head coach Porter Moser, before he is able to make his Sooner debut. The 6-foot-5 senior averaged 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.8 steals across 34 games with Long Beach State last season, and he will look to make an impact with the Sooners when healthy.

Out for NSULA game Jones (back) is out for Oklahoma's game Monday against Northwestern State, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact A week has passed since Oklahoma's regular season began, but Jones' availability remains unchanged. He will sit out another OU game, leaving the Sooners to likely start Duke Miles and Brycen Goodine as their wings. Jones will try to return Saturday against Stetson.

Inactive Monday Jones (back) will not appear in Oklahoma's opener against Lindenwood, Brody Lusk of Rivals.com reports.

Impact Jones, who started in both of the Sooners' exhibition games this offseason, will not be available for Monday's season opener. The 6-foot-5 senior, a transfer from Long Beach State, will have his next opportunity to appear on Nov. 11, against Northwestern State.

Questionable for Lindenwood game Jones (back) is questionable for Oklahoma's game Monday against Lindenwood, according to Brody Lusk of Rivals.

Impact Oklahoma's 2024-25 team is expected to begin its regular season Monday. However, the matchup may not include Jones, who is trying to recover from a tweaked back. OU's head coach Porter Moser said he "doubts" his Long Beach State transfer will be available Monday. That would mean Moser must find a likely replacement for Jones in the Sooners' starting lineup, considering he was part of their primary perimeter players for multiple scrimmages during preseason.

Impact Jones had started the first six games of the season for the Beach, averaging 9.7 ppg and 4.0 rpg while reaching double figures in all but one contest. More importantly, the sophomore wing is the reigning Big West Defensive Player of the Year, and had picked up 12 steals over his last five games. Jones had a respectable performance in the box score when the Beach lost to UCLA 93-69 back on Nov. 11, and while the team once again finds itself as big road underdogs Wednesday against USC, the potential return of Jones would be a noteworthy boost.
