Micah Peavy - Shaky performance in start Peavy finished with nine points (2-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), one rebound, two assists and two steals in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 78-51 win over Jackson State.
Impact Peavy continued to struggle with his efficiency while starting in place of senior Emmanuel Miller (undisclosed) on Tuesday. The junior forward has been one of the first men to bump up off the bench for the Horned Frogs this season, averaging 25.8 minutes over eight contests with three starts. As result, Peavy ranks fourth on the team in points per game (10), just ahead of starting forward Charles O'Bannon. However, Peavy's lackluster efficiency from three (12.5 percent) and from the field overall (37 percent) has kept his scoring upside limited. He should start once again if Miller remains out against SMU on Saturday.

JaKobe Coles - Explodes in blowout win Coles chipped in 21 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 78-51 win over Jackson State.
Impact Coles logged the best stat line of his career while playing a prominent role in the Horned Frogs' unusual lineup Tuesday. With starters Mike Miles (undisclosed) and Emmanuel Miller (undisclosed) both sitting out, the sophomore forward saw a season high in minutes. Coles also remained highly efficient in this increased role, as he has now made 47.9 percent of his 6.0 field-goal tries per game. He also notched season highs in both attempted and made three-pointers, albeit against an overmatched Jackson State squad. Coles averaged 14.7 minutes per game over TCU's first seven contests, so it's unlikely he'll see this type of role once the team's starting five is at full strength moving forward.

Shahada Wells - 14 points in start Wells supplied 14 points (7-14 FG, 0-5 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 78-51 victory over Jackson State.
Impact Wells notched a season high in points while playing more than 15 minutes for the first time in the last four games. The junior guard saw significant playing time both off the bench and in the starting lineup when Mike Miles was in and out of the lineup earlier this season. With Miles once again out for undisclosed reasons Tuesday, Wells stepped back up into a starting role against an overmatched Jackson State squad. While he paced the Horned Frogs with a season-high 14 field-goal attempts, he continued to struggle from beyond the arc, and he's now gone 5-of-26 from three-point land over eight games. Expect Wells to continue seeing prominent usage whenever Miles is not in the lineup for TCU.
