Not on injury report Howard (knee) is not listed with an injury designation on Michigan's availability report ahead of Monday's opener against Cleveland State.

Impact All signs point towards that fact that Howard will be available tonight after the senior returned to practice last week. The 6-foot-7 forward, who appeared in just 10 games last season due to injury, will look to establish a role for himself off the bench this season.

Return to practice expected Head coach Dusty May indicated that Howard (knee) is expected to return to practice within the next few days, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact Howard sat out Michigan's recent exhibition game against Toledo with what was referred to as a 'minor injury' but appears to be on track to make his return soon. The senior forward has not seen a ton of playing time in his tenure with the Wolverines, logging a career-high 12.8 minutes per game during the 2023-24 season, though the new era of Michigan basketball under Coach May could lead to a larger role as a bench option for Howard. Impact Howard missed the last two games with a concussion and was able to return to action Thursday. Even with Jett Howard (ankle) unavailable, Howard still wasn't able to see any sort of increase in minutes. On the year, he's averaging just 7.5 minutes per contest.
