Impact Cottrell will join the Thunderbirds for what will be his sixth year after previously playing with WVU and then UNLV. The 6-foot-11 forward has struggled with an injury in both of the past two seasons, but he'll hopefully return to full health with Southern Utah.

Impact Now that UNLV's team is easily unlikely to qualify for the 2025 NCAA Tournament, he will give the transfer portal another go for his last year of collegiate eligibility. Even though the redshirt junior is a five-year veteran, his 2020-21 season does count due to COVID-19 and his 2022-23 season was cut short because of foot problems.
