Fills stat sheet in win Jones tallied 17 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-7 FT), seven assists, five rebounds, four steals and three blocks during Saturday's win over Mississippi State.
Impact Not only did Jones lead the Crimson Tide offensively but the senior contributed majorly in almost every statistical category including dishing out a new season high in assists. Across 16 starts this season, Jones is averaging 12.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

Plays through injury in blowout Jones (hand) had 13 points (3-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two steals across 23 minutes in Saturday's 90-59 victory over Arkansas.
Impact Early reports suggested Jones would sit this game due to a hand injury and make his return the following week, but the senior had other ideas. Jones ended up starting the game, but due to the blowout nature of the contest, he only took four shots and played 23 minutes. This is a good sign for fantasy players that Jones can play through injury and still be an all-around producer, but it's fair to wonder how much his shot will be affected by any lingering affects of the hand injury.

In starting five Jones (hand) is in the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against Arkansas.
Impact Jones had to leave Tuesday's game against Kentucky after suffering a left hand injury and initial reports stated he was expected to miss some time. That will not end up being the case as Jones will remain in the starting lineup with the Tide looking to win their seventh straight. Despite receiving the start, head coach Nate Oats mentioned Friday that Jones would be available on an "as-needed basis" so his minutes could take a hit depending on the flow of the game.

Expected to play Saturday Jones (hand) is expected to play in Saturday's game against Arkansas, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
Impact Jones suffered a hand injury Tuesday against Kentucky, but he apparently won't miss any more time. Coach Nate Oats said Friday that Jones will be available on an "as-needed basis," so Jones might not see his full 26.2 minutes per game he's averaged this year. While he may be limited Saturday, Oats expects a full return next week.

Nate Oats expects Herbert Jones, Jahvon Quinerly to be available soon “Hopefully JQ and Herb, by next week we’ll have both of them for sure.”

Targeting full return next week Coach Nate Oats indicated Friday that Jones (hand) will be available on an "as-needed basis" for Saturday versus Arkansas, but that he hopes to have him back next week, Mike Rodak...
Impact It sounds as though Oats hopes to keep Jones on the bench for the duration of Saturday's affair but would turn to the senior in a pinch. It's at least a good sign that Jones isn't expected to miss a large chunk of time given the team's recent loss of Jordan Bruner (knee) for at least the next month. Without Bruner and assuming Jones plays little, if at all, Alex Reese and James Rojas may be thrust into larger roles Saturday.

Out Saturday Jones (hand) will miss Saturday's game against Arkansas, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
Impact The Crimson Tide feared that Jones' injury that he suffered in Tuesday's win was significant, but the team is hopeful that Jones will only need to miss a game or two. Jones and the Tide are set to face LSU next Tuesday when the forward will likely be a game-time call. With Jones out Saturday, expect James Rojas to step in and see an increased role.

Expected to miss time Jones is expected to miss time due to a left hand injury suffered during Tuesday's 85-65 win over Kentucky, Cecil Hurt of The Tuscaloosa News reports.
Impact Head coach Nate Oats said Tuesday after the game he doesn't believe Jones broke anything, though he'll receive further evaluation Wednesday. Oats said he expects Jones to miss time, but the amount is unclear. The team's next game comes Saturday against Arkansas, and it appears doubtful Jones will recover in time to play. While he's out, James Rojas and Alex Reese figure to see an uptick in minutes.

Leaves game with hand injury Jones left Tuesday's game at Kentucky due to a left hand injury, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
Impact Jones exited Tuesday's game during the first half with a hand injury. His return is questionable. Jones is one of the best defenders in the country, so the Crimson Tide appear to be more vulnerable on the defensive end until he returns.

Impact Jones was fantastic in 34 minutes of action, as the senior totaled a new season high offensively while being a major presence in every major statistical category including tying a career high in takeaways. Across 12 starts with Alabama this year, Jones is averaging 12.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
