Impact Onyenso isn't expected to play a big role in the rotation any time soon, but he made the most of his 18 minutes against Hampton. Onyenso barely missed shots from the field, but he was also active on the glass and outstanding defensively. This was his first double-double of the season, and this performance might also boost Onyenso's minutes going forward. Through three games, he's averaging 11.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per contest.

Malik Thomas - Scores 11 points vs. Hampton Thomas finished with 11 points (2-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 21 minutes during Tuesday's 91-53 win over Hampton.

Impact Thomas has been a starter in each of the Cavaliers' first three games this season and has posted double-digit points in his last two outings. He's also averaging 3.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, and Thomas is clearly enjoying a solid start to the season as a regular starter for Virginia.

Devin Tillis - Undergoes knee surgery Tillis underwent knee surgery and doesn't have a timetable to return, Mike Barber of Hoops HQ reports.

Impact Tillis, a transfer from UC Irvine, underwent surgery after an exhibition game against Villanova in October. There's no timetable for his return, but head coach Ryan Odom hopes he'll be back at some point during the 2025-26 season.
