In 26 games (seven starts) as a sophomore with the Friars in 2020-21, Gantt averaged 4.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 21.4 minutes per contest while shooting 41.5 percent from the field.

Impact Gantt's insertion into the starting lineup comes as a bit of a surprise considering he hasn't been part of the unit since Dec. 5 and he isn't a senior. He did, however, nearly match his season-high with eight points while adding four boards and one assist last time out, so it's possible that improvement played a role.

Impact Gantt had an overall good performance in the win Wednesday. The forward has been a fantastic role player in the secondary-unit for the Friars this season. He has produced in all facets of play and has been very versatile. He also has been rather consistent and successful with his shooting. He may not see the ball numerous times a game, but when he does he is worth the warrant.
