Tops 20 again Madsen provided 23 points (7-16 FG, 5-14 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Tuesday's 71-69 loss to West Virginia.

Impact Madsen drained five from downtown and poured in a team-high 23 points with five boards, but it couldn't prevent the Utes from falling to West Virginia. Madsen entered the contest having scored 16 points combined on just 4-for-17 shooting from the field over his previous two games combined. The senior guard has been streaky this season and isn't the most efficient shooter but Tuesdays performance marked the fourth time in seven games he's topped 20 points.

Impact Madsen drained a season-high eight threes en route to a 28-point performance during Tuesday's loss. The eight triples came as the result of chucking it up 22 times from long range among the 26 shots he hoisted from the field. Madsen had posted five 20-point performances across the first seven games this season but Tuesday's effort was just his second in the 17 games since. The senior guard is averaging 15.3 points this season, a total that has dipped to 12.2 through 13 conference games.
