Stands out defensively Dynes stood out defensively during USC's team practice Friday, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Rothstein praised two USC players' defense, one including Dynes. The center's 2024-25 season indicates that he made great use of his 7-foot-5 height, backed up with 3.1 blocks per game. Even though Dynes must compete against Ezra Ausar and Jacob Cofie for center minutes, the Youngstown State transfer is making at least an adequate case that he is too good a big man to ride on USC's bench.

Impact Dynes will head over to the Big Ten Conference after two seasons with Youngstown State. The 7-foot-3 center averaged 6.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.1 blocks on 21.7 minutes per game across 34 contests for the Penguins this past campaign. He'll have two years of eligibility with the Trojans.
