Impact King is one of several players granted eligibility for the upcoming campaign after the Kentucky Court of Appeals issued a temporary injunction Friday. As a result, the 6-foot-9 big man will be an option for Creighton's frontcourt in the new campaign.

Impact King, who spent the first three years of his career at Creighton, was set to return to Omaha after he played his senior season at Murray State. However, the center is now ineligible for a fifth year of college basketball, and while there's still about a month to go before the season starts, the loss of King would hurt the Bluejays' frontcourt depth.

The junior center likely won't be a starter when Kalkbrenner returns, whenever that is, but he should still be an integral part of the rotation.
