Impact Gaines has started all 23 games for UAB so far this season. However, the point guard appears set to shift into a role off the bench Saturday, as he is not known to be dealing with any injuries. Gaines has averaged 13.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game. In his place, 5-foot-11 senior Jordan Walker will step up into the starting rotation versus the Panthers.
