SEC Preseason POY Johnson was named the SEC Preseason Player of the Year, Graham Hall of The Gainesville Sun reports.

Impact Johnson is coming off a strong season last year in which he averaged 14.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per contest. The junior is now the main man in the frontcourt with Kerry Blackshear out of the fold. Johnson should see all of his numbers take a step up this season.
