Impact Vanterpool scored the final points in regulation with nine seconds remaining to send the game into overtime. It was the 6-4 sophomore's seventh 20-point game. Since missing a game at the end of January, Vanterpool has provided 15.3 points on 40.0 percent from the field with 4.3 rebounds over four games. The Owls will look to stop their six-game slide on Wednesday at UTSA. Vanterpool had 21 points in 21 minutes in the Dec. 31 win over the Roadrunners.

Impact The Owls were once in first place in the American Conference, but their current six-game losing streak has dashed most thoughts of play into late March. Williams had only provided 6.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in his two previous games coming into Sunday. The 6-10 sophomore still leads the conference with 2.7 blocks. His 70 blocks are fifth most in school history, but Brett Royster's 97 rejections in 2010-11 may be out of reach.
