Hits the glass Aimaq recorded eight points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and 14 rebounds over 31 minutes during Saturday's 69-64 victory over Oregon.
Impact Aimaq wasn't overly efficient from the field and racked up four turnovers with zero assists, but he fueled a 40:35 team rebounding advantage Saturday. Marking his 10th game of the season with at least 14 rebounds, the 6-foot-11, fifth-year transfer fell just shy of his 19th double-double of the season.

College basketball big man ladder: Zach Edey remains on top, Kel'el Ware in the mix
Hamstrung in loss Aimaq fouled out of Friday's 100-81 loss to Arizona after recording 10 points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one block across 20 minutes.
Impact Aimaq was unable to establish any rhythm against the physicality of Oumar Ballo and Motiejus Krivas on Friday, routinely sitting stretches of the game due to foul trouble in what was his lowest playing time all season. Foul trouble has not been an issue for the fifth-year senior, however, as he's averaging just 2.8 fouls per game through 12 contests thus far. He has been an instrumental figure in California posting top-100 marks in team offensive rebounding rate and defensive rebounding rate, while grading as a top-80 individual rebounder in both categories.

APRIL 7, 2023 • STAR-TELEGRAM.COM
Will be added to transfer portal Aimaq will be added to the NCAA's transfer portal, per Joe Tipton of On3.com.
Impact Aimaq is expected to serve as a fifth-year senior somewhere else. Aimaq's lone season at Texas Tech involved much turmoil, including a transfer rumored spread around midseason and multiple injuries that limited his 2022-23 season to just 10 games. Even so, Aimaq showed promise across those few matchups by averaging 11.8 points and 8.3 rebounds. So wherever the center goes to spend his fifth collegiate season, he will be a valuable pickup for whichever college program gets him.

Key driver for Red Raiders Aimaq posted 19 points (9-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 74-63 victory over Oklahoma.
Impact Aimaq's value to a surging Texas Tech team cannot be understated. He's now appeared in four consecutive games, and it's no coincidence the Red Raiders have emerged victorious in each. Tuesday marked his second consecutive double-double and season-best scoring total, in addition to his first three-pointer since Jan. 17. Just like that, Texas Tech has worked its way into the NCAA Tournament bubble conversation.

Impact Texas Tech finally has its coveted transfer center at full strength, and the timing couldn't have been better, with former starting center Daniel Batcho now having missed three consecutive games with a lower-body injury. Aimaq has only played six games for the Red Raiders this season, but they've been productive, with averages of 9.7 points and 6.8 rebounds. Saturday was likely the first of many double-doubles for Aimaq as Texas Tech looks to make a late-season run.

Nears double-double in start Aimaq accumulated 12 points (6-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists and one block in 28 minutes during Monday's 74-67 win over Texas.
Impact Aimaq reprised his role in the starting lineup after coming off the bench Feb. 11 versus Kansas, marking his first game back following a five-game absence with injury. The 6-foot-11 senior has been limited to just five total games so far this season due to injury, though he's posted exactly 12 points in three of his outings. Aimaq has now averaged 8.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists while playing 24.8 minutes per game this season.

Logs 12 points, eight rebounds Aimaq amassed 12 points (6-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists and one block over 28 minutes during Monday's 74-67 victory over Texas.
Impact Aimaq averaged 10.0 points and 7.7 rebounds across his first three games started with Texas Tech. He is a quality scoring and rebounding option who should make the Red Raiders much more formidable across their upcoming games, like they were against No. 6 Texas.

Draws start Monday Aimaq will start for Texas Tech as they play host to Texas on Monday night.
Impact This will be Aimaq's fifth game of the season, and just his third start. The big man hasn't had much of an opportunity this season, but he'll get his chance to make a mark on the big stage against a deep and talented Texas team. Aimaq is averaging 8.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists across his prior four games.

Unimpressive across 23 minutes Aimaq (foot) totaled two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 FT), one rebound, two assists, one block and three steals in 23 minutes during Saturday's 71-63 victory over Kansas State.
Impact Aimaq logged the same number of points and turnovers without compensating for them using rebounds. However, the center logging 23 minutes indicates the Red Raiders are alright with him playing a lot. Fantasy managers should not be surprised if Aimaq returns to Texas Tech's starting lineup sooner than later. After his first return this season, the team immediately had him start its next game.
FEBRUARY 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Going through pregame warmups Aimaq (foot) is warming up ahead of Saturday's game against Kansas State, Jordan Majewski of SBNation.com reports.
Impact Aimaq has missed all but three games this season due to injury, including each of the last five games for the Red Raiders. However, it appears he could be in line to return to the court given his ability to participate in warmups one hour ahead of Saturday's 7:00 p.m. ET tipoff. If not, Aimaq's next chance to suit up would come against Texas on Monday.
FEBRUARY 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

FEBRUARY 9, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Doubtful at Baylor Aimaq (foot) is doubtful before Texas Tech's game Saturday at Baylor.
Impact Aimaq is expected to log a fourth absence because of his injured foot. On the plus side, he will be day-to-day. The status update is much more promising than what Aimaq's previous MRIs indicated before February.
FEBRUARY 2, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Negative MRI results Aimaq (foot) revealed via his personal Twitter account, that he has received two MRI scans, neither of which were clean.
Impact Aimaq is likely to miss additional time after his MRI scans revealed additional issues with his foot. The 6-foot-11 senior has missed the last three games as a result of the injury, and he remains doubtful to return this week.
JANUARY 31, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Unlikely to play Monday Aimaq (foot) is not in uniform during early warmups ahead of Monday's game against Iowa State, Carlos Silva Jr. of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports.
Impact Aimaq missed the first two months of the season due to a foot injury. He was able to return to action Jan. 14 and start two of three games before aggravating his foot last Wednesday. As a result, it appears the 6-foot-11 senior will now miss his third game in a row, likely paving the way for sophomore Daniel Batcho to continue starting in his place.
