Not returning to Tennessee Burg is not returning to Tennessee, according to Grant Ramey of On3.com.

Impact Citing closer proximity to family, Burg is moving to Israel, where he began his pro career before joining Tennessee's basketball program. In 31 games (one start) for the 2025-26 Volunteers, he averaged 2.5 points and 1.1 assists. At point guard, Tennessee's depth is assured with Dai Dai Ames and Jalen Haralson newly committed to the team.

Impact Burg got his second-highest minute total of the season in the conference matchup versus the Tigers, and he made the most of his opportunity. The sophomore guard's eight points were his best since November, and he's now nailed two or more shots beyond the arc in three showings this campaign. After missing some games recently due to an illness, he'll hopefully stay healthy and assume a steady role as the regular season comes to a close.

Impact Burg will miss his first game of the season due to illness. The sophomore has been a key bench player for the Vols, averaging 3.5 points, 2.0 assists and 1.1 rebounds across 12.4 minutes per game. His next chance to play will come Dec. 30 against South Carolina State.
