Eastern Kentucky defeats Indiana State 89-88 in OT in CBI

The Eastern Kentucky Colonels defeated the Indiana State Sycamores 89-88 in overtime in the CBI Tournament on Monday led by Devontae Blanton's 32 points

Devontae Blanton - Another 20-point game Blanton closed Sunday's 91-75 OT win over Cleveland State with 22 points (10-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 34 minutes.

Impact Blanton was able to notch his 14th 20-point game of the season in the opening round of the CBI. The 6-6 junior is now averaging 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.1 three-pointers per contest on the season. Blanton will look to continue to help his team advance when they face Indiana State on Monday in the quarterfinals.

Isaiah Cozart - Dominates paint in win Cozart accumulated 20 points (8-16 FG, 4-6 FT), 17 rebounds, one assist and five blocks across 34 minutes during Sunday's 91-75 OT win over Cleveland State.

Impact Cleveland State simply had no answers for Cozart in the paint. His 20 points and 17 rebounds were both career highs as Eastern Kentucky advances to the quarterfinals of the CBI on Monday to play Indiana State. Cozart is playing his best basketball at the end of the season, averaging 12.0 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks over the last seven games.
