Big day not quite enough
Cardwell ended Saturday's 79-73 loss to Florida with nine points (4-5 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds and one steal over 23 minutes.
Impact
Cardwell had one of his best games of the postseason, as he was found early and often in the pick-and-roll game, and it resulted in his most points in a single contest since Feb. 1. The fifth-year senior -- all with Auburn -- closes his collegiate career with 166 total games played for the Tigers, enjoying career-bests in rebounding (5.1 rpg) and minutes played (20.3 mpg) in the 2024-25 campaign.

Perfect from field in win
Cardwell ended Tuesday's 83-72 loss to Texas A&M with eight points (4-4 FG), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 22 minutes.
Impact
Cardwell logged at least two rebounds, two steals and two assists for the first time since Feb. 11. The center was also a flawless 4-for-4 from the field, and his eight points were his most since Feb. 4, but it wasn't enough to prevent the upset loss at the hands of the Aggies.

Balanced, quiet output in win
Cardwell totaled six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals over 18 minutes during Tuesday's 80-68 victory over Vanderbilt.
Impact
Cardwell did what we've come to expect from the big man against the Commodores. Play around 20 minutes, don't take many shots - but make the ones you do - and contribute in other little ways with an assist here, a steal here, and so on and so fourth. With Johni Broome also in the front court, Cardwell simply needs to play his role for this Tigers team to flourish, and that's exactly what the starting center has been doing.

Continues quiet January
Cardwell finished Wednesday's 87-74 victory over LSU with four points (2-4 FG), six rebounds, one assist and two steals over 19 minutes.
Impact
Cardwell isn't one of the Tigers' top scoring threats, but nonetheless, the center hasn't scored in double figures in this calendar year. Since conference play began, however, he's averaging 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks as a consistent force on the glass for the top team in the nation. Cardwell knows his role and plays it well.

Plays role well in blowout
Cardwell notched nine points (4-6 FG, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 88-66 win over Mississippi State.
Impact
At this point in his career, we know Cardwell isn't a premier scorer and won't dominate the post any time soon. Still, he's been rock-solid his senior season, and his efficient nine points and work in other areas of the floor were all the Tigers needed in an easy win over a middling SEC team.

Hits 10 points in rout
Cardwell finished Saturday's 91-53 win over Ohio State with 10 points (5-10 FG), eight rebounds, two assists and four blocks across 25 minutes.
Impact
Cardwell hit double digit points for the third time this season. The center has been hot and cold. but he also took a season-high 10 shots against the Buckeyes, which helped him hit the 10-point threshold. Cardwell has been rather inconsistent this season, but he'll keep starting for a highly dangerous Auburn team.

Season high in Maui final
Cardwell notched 18 points (8-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 90-76 win over Memphis.
Impact
While Cardwell has started all seven games for Auburn this season, he hasn't been a major offensive factor, as Johni Broome dominates the scoring down low for the Tigers, who typically move to a smaller lineup after starting the duo alongside each other. In fact, Cardwell has scored three or less points in five of the team's seven games, but he was excellent Wednesday afternoon, posting a season-best scoring total and finishing second on the squad behind Broome's 21-point, 16-rebound effort.

Starter for exhibition game
Cardwell logged six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one block across his 19 minutes during Auburn's exhibition game Friday against Florida Atlantic.
Impact
It appears that Cardwell will enter Auburn's 2024-25 season as its primary center. This comes after four seasons for the Tigers, all of their aforementioned campaigns including him having a regular role but never as a starter. Carter's primary asset is defense, having averaged more than a block in three of his undergraduate years and at least three rebounds in all of his undergrad seasons. Having more of a sample size to work with should help him amplify his output in rebounds and blocks.

Solid performance in win
Cardwell accumulated 11 points (4-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals in 17 minutes during Sunday's 91-75 victory over USC.
Impact
The senior was solid from the field shooting 80 percent and made three of his four free-throw attempts in Sunday's win over USC. This marked a season-high in points for Cardwell. Expect the center to continue to see a bench role for the Tigers moving forward.
