Impact Stirtz, recently named MVC Player of the Year, capped off a strong season of conference play with impressive play in the tournament setting as well. Across three tournament games, he averaged 21 points, two points better than his season average. Stirtz helped blow the game open with a personal 5-0 run in less than a minute of game time late in the second half against Bradley. He finished the regular season and conference tournament leading the team in scoring and assists, with averages of 19.1 points per game and 5.7 assists. The junior remains the team's best offensive option and best chance at making noise in the NCAA tournament with a ticket now punched.
