Heading to Lubbock Gibbs-Lawhorn has committed to play for Texas Tech for the 2026-27 season, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact Gibbs-Lawhorn will join the Red Raiders following a single season with UNLV. The 6-foot-1 guard was a superstar for the Rebels this past season, averaging 20.7 points per game across 35 contests while finishing as the top scorer in the Mountain West. The former Illinois transfer will retain a single year of eligibility with Texas Tech.
