Out of starting five Saturday
Wagner (ankle) is not listed in the Wildcats' starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game versus Gonzaga, Aaron Gershon of 247Sports reports.
Impact
Wagner warmed up and looked ready to play ahead of Saturday's contest. The 6-foot-4 freshman has missed each of the past three games while dealing with an ankle injury, so it's possible he could work his way back onto the court by coming off the bench Saturday. Across 18 starts, Wagner has averaged 12.0 points and 3.7 assists while playing 28.4 minutes per contest.

New career high
Wagner recorded 22 points (7-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), three rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 96-88 OT victory over Saint Joseph's.
Impact
Wagner has held on to his starting role with Kentucky despite the fact the was shooting 31.9 percent from the field entering Monday's game, as well as the fact that Robert Dillingham has been impressive off the bench. The 6-4 freshman changed the narrative a bit in this OT victory, however, as Wagner recorded a career high in both scoring and assists. He'll look to carry that momentum into Friday's matchup against Marshall.

Tough shooting day
Wagner had four points (2-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds, an assist and two steals across 27 minutes in Friday's 92-69 exhibition victory over Georgetown College.
Impact
Wagner drew the start over fellow five-star prospect Robert Dillingham, but it was Dillingham who scored 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while Wagner struggled to find his shot. Kentucky's starting alignment will be worth continuing to monitor when the Wildcats play their next exhibition against Kentucky State on Thursday.
