Commits to Iowa State Jackson committed to Iowa State on Monday, per Joe Tipton of On3.com.
Impact Jackson mulled offers from Indiana, Miami, USC and Xavier. But, it is Iowa State that makes him feel he would succeed most. Jackson's selection comes amid a 2023-24 season during which ISU was the only elite interested in him to advance into March Madness. Also, the Cyclones have potential for a limited turnover that affects Jackson, considering their only players soon out of collegiate eligibility are all big men. He can seamlessly fit into a primary role left by at least one of the future vacancies. Having averaged 11.4 points (on 54.4 field goal and 72.0 free throw percentages) and 6.1 rebounds while enrolled at UNC-Charlotte, Jackson has the upside to be an excellent option down low and a quality rebounder yet again next season but for Iowa State.

The sophomore center will look for a new suitor and likely a bigger school in which he can showcase his abilities in the paint with.

Back to bench on Senior Day Jackson will yield his starting spot to Matt DeWolf on Senior Day versus Oregon on Saturday.
Impact Jackson was a recent insertion in the starting lineup himself but will move back to the bench Saturday to get DeWolf his due ceremony. Even so, the change shouldn't move the needle much as far as Jackson's playing time goes.
MARCH 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
In starting lineup Thursday Jackson will start Thursday's game against Oregon State.
Impact Jackson is set to make his first start since Jan. 6 as Efe Abogidi moves to the bench. Over the last four games, Jackson has averaged 7.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks over 16.0 minutes per game.

Going through warmups Jackson (undisclosed) was spotted during warmups ahead of Saturday's game against Arizona State, according to Colton Clark of The Spokeman-Review.
Impact Jackson has missed each of Washington State's last seven games, but the fact that he was spotted in warmups is certainly a good sign for his availability ahead of this contest.
FEBRUARY 12, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Out for Thursday Jackson (eye) is out for Thursday night's game against Arizona.
Impact Jackson will miss yet another game while dealing with an eye injury and the Cougars will surely miss his size in a tough matchup against Arizona. The big man will get his next opportunity to return against Arizona State on Saturday.
FEBRUARY 10, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Status uncertain for Thursday Jackson (eye) will be a game-time decision Thursday against Arizona, 247 Sports reports.
Impact Coach Kyle Smith characterized Jackson as "50-50" to take the floor Thursday after being sidelined for a month with an eye injury. "It's dependent on how his vision is doing and all that stuff," Smith said. Jackson averages 4.8 points and 4.2 rebounds and his return would give Washington State a presence in the middle against a tough Arizona squad.

Targeting Feb. 8 return Jackson (undisclosed) is targeting a Feb. 8 return to action, 247 Sports reports.
Impact Jackson is still slated to miss the next couple weeks of game action, but at least a timeline has been established for his injury. Jackson has been out of action for the last two weeks and it has put Washington State in a tough spot in regards to frontcourt bodies.

Ruled out Thursday Jackson will miss Thursday's game against Stanford.
Impact Jackson's absence adds to the lack of available frontcourt bodies with Tony Miller (shoulder) and D.J. Rodman (undisclosed) also sidelined Thursday. The sophomore big man entered Thursday averaging 4.8 points and 4.2 boards over 15.8 minutes per game but will have to wait until at least Saturday versus California for a chance to improve on them.
JANUARY 13, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Starting Saturday Jackson is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Northern Colorado.
Impact Jackson will be making his third start of the year and his first since Dec. 1 as he enters the starting five in place of Efe Abogidi. The 6-10 Jackson has averaged 5.6 points and 5.4 rebounds in 17.7 minutes per game, as he and Abogidi have had a relatively even split in minutes over the course of the season so far.
DECEMBER 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Scoresless in return from thumb issue Jackson contributed zero points (0-2 FG) and four rebounds across 11 minutes during Wednesday's 64-61 loss to New Mexico State.
Impact Jackson was making his return from a thumb injury that cost him the last two games. His minutes were a bit limited from his usual 18.5 minutes per game average, but that should ramp up in the next week or so.
DECEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Should return Wednesday Jackson (thumb) should be ready to roll Wednesday versus New Mexico State, Colton Clark of The Spokesman-Review reports.
Impact Jackson missed the past pair of games due to a thumb issue but figures to rejoin the action Wednesday well ahead of the resumption of PAC-12 play. The sophomore enters the night averaging 6.3 points and 5.6 rebounds over 18.5 minutes per game.
DECEMBER 15, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Won't play Saturday Jackson (thumb) will skip Saturday's game versus South Dakota State.
Impact Jackso's thumb issue will hold him out of a second straight contest Saturday, leaving the Cougars down a big piece around the rim again. Washington State should still be able to take care of business without him, while Jackson will focus on potentially returning for Wednesday's clash with New Mexico State.
DECEMBER 11, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Tending to thumb injury Jackson was unavailable for Wednesday's 94-60 victory over Weber State due to a bruised thumb, Colton Clark of the Spokesman-Review reports.
Impact Jackson had been on a streak of four consecutive games logging 20 minutes or more, which even included a double-double in his second start of the year Dec. 1 against Arizona State. With the second-year forward unavailable Wednesday, however, center minutes were largely split between starters Efe Abogidi and Mouhaed Gueye. Fortunately, the Cougars expect to have Jackson back for Saturday's matchup against South Dakota State.
DECEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
First career double-double Jackson accumulated 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 51-29 win over Arizona State.
Impact Jackson was one of only three players in the game that reached double figures as both offenses struggled, posting his first ever double-double. The sophomore's efficiency is vastly improved early this season, as he's connecting on 60 percent of his field goal attempts. He hasn't been a huge part of the offense but is second on the team in rebounds with 5.4 per game.
DECEMBER 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Nears double-double in OT loss Jackson posted 13 points (3-11 FG, 0-0 3Pt, 7-7 FT), nine rebounds and zero assists across 37 minutes in Saturday's 77-74 overtime loss to Arizona St.
Impact Jackson logged a season-high 37 minutes in the overtime defeat, coming up just one rebound shy of what would have been his first double-double of the season. He struggled with his shooting but helped make up for it on the defensive end with a season-high three blocks and two steals. The freshman big man still needs improvement with his post-play, as he's only shooting 47 percent from inside-the-arc.
FEBRUARY 28, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to lineup Jackson will be in the starting lineup Saturday against USC.
Impact Jackson battled an ankle issue earlier in the week and was limited to a bench role Thursday against UCLA. Since the injury was never bad enough to cost him a game, it's little surprise to see him back in his usual starting role.
FEBRUARY 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
