Returning to Rocky Top Brown will return to Tennessee for the 2026-27 season, per Rylee Robinson of WVLT.

Impact Brown played in 35 games as a freshman with the Vols, notching 10 starts and averaging 4.8 points and 3.6 rebounds. The 6-foot-8 forward has officially committed to return to Tennessee, and will now look to lock down a starting role in Knoxville in 2026-27.

Impact Brown has started the last three games while Felix Okpara was tending to a calf injury, and while Okpara made his return here, he was limited to just 11 minutes. Brown, meanwhile, wasn't much of a factor on offense, but did pull down 12 boards -- his second-best mark of the season. While the run of starts has boosted Brown's production, he's at risk of conceding more time to Okpara as the latter gets healthy, especially considering Okpara is considered one of the best defensive players in the contest. It was Brown, not Okpara, who was on the court with the game on the line, however, suggesting Okpara may not quite be 100 percent yet.

Impact Brown started for Felix Okpara (calf) after coming off the bench for three games. The 6-8 freshman started the first four SEC games and has scored 10 points three times against conference foes. His productive game may lead to more minutes in the future, maybe as soon as Tuesday against Ole Miss.

Impact Brown has now made six consecutive starts for Tennessee, taking the spot of Cade Phillips following his season-ending shoulder injury. Over that span, the four-star freshman is posting 6.5 points and 5.5 rebounds across 18.7 mpg, as he's still sharing time at power forward with Jaylen Carey and Felix Okpara, which ultimately limits his overall fantasy utility, but gives him solid experience to build on.

The 6-8 freshman equaled his season high in rebounds despite going scoreless for the first time this season. He came into the game averaging 5.5 points and 3.1 rebounds. As a starter, Brown might see a slight bump in value. He could get quality minutes against Gardner-Webb on Sunday.
