Transfers to Kentucky
Aberdeen will transfer to Kentucky, per Joe Tipton of On3.com.
Impact
Abderdeen spent three seasons in Gainesville, and had a career year in Florida's 2024-2025 national championship season, averaging 7.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists. The 6-foot-5 guard brings plenty of experience to the Wildcats and should be a top-tier glue guy if not full-time starter in his senior season.

Impact
Aberdeen was a rotational bench player for the Gators during Florida's national title run. He averaged 7.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 19.7 minutes in his junior season, also notching the first five starts of his career. The guard will now look for an expanded opportunity in his senior season.

Solid off bench for Gators
Aberdeen accumulated eight points (3-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and one steal over 23 minutes during Friday's 95-69 victory over Norfolk State.
Impact
Florida was never in panic mode against a severely overmatched, 16-seeded Norfolk State on Friday, and so its bench didn't need to do a whole lot. Still, Aberdeen played well. His shot selection was on point, as he didn't force anything and knocked down 75 percent of his attempts, while also grabbing his most rebounds since Feb. 11. He'll likely continue to be the first man off the bench for the Gators.

Back to bench role
Aberdeen is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against LSU, Chris Harry of FloridaGators.com reports.
Impact
The Gators are tweaking their starting unit once again and Aberdeen will come off the bench since Alijah Martin is back in the starting unit. This snaps a run of five straight starts for Aberdeen, and the junior averaged 14.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in that stretch.

Starting in place of Martin
Aberdeen will get the start for Florida ahead of the injured Alijah Martin, Justin Ferguson of AuburnObserver.com reports.
Impact
Aberdeen also started the last game for Florida, filling in for the injured Walter Clayton. He'll once again be the next man up, this time for a different backcourt injury. In his one start this season, the Gators' last game against Tennessee, he scored 13 points with two rebounds and three assists.

Starting in place of Clayton
Aberdeen will start for the injured Walter Clayton (ankle) against Vanderbilt, Kevin Brockway of The Gainesville Sun reports.
Impact
Aberdeen gets the first start of his career Tuesday night. The junior guard had already seen his role expand significantly in 2024-2025, as he averages 7.1 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists across 19.4 minutes. He'll take the place of the injured Clayton, and he has big shoes to fill as the latter has been dynamite for the Gators running point in Gainesville this season.

X-factor in Tennessee upset
Aberdeen finished with 16 points (5-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds and one steal in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 73-43 victory over Tennessee.
Impact
While still limited to a reserve role in his third season with the program, Aberdeen has more than doubled most of his counting stats, including minutes, scoring, rebounding an assists. No performance was more pivotal than Tuesday, however, when he came off the bench and found his scoring stride. It was not only on a night when leading scorer Walter Clayton was limited by foul trouble, but it happened to be against one of the top defenses in the country. Don't look to Aberdeen for consistent fantasy production moving forward, but there's certainly enough here to provide some real-life spark when needed.

Impact
Aberdeen will make his return to the court Friday after sitting out during Tuesday's game against Florida A&M. The 6-foot-5 junior has averaged 7.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists on 18.3 minutes per game to kick off his fourth year with the Gators.

Won't play vs. Florida A&M
Aberdeen is out for Tuesday's game against Florida A&M due to an illness, Jacob Rudner of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
The absence of Aberdeen will shrink the team's depth in the wing, but he wasn't expected to be a starter in a game where the Gators are massive favorites. His next chance to play will come against Southern Illinois on Friday.
