Impact According to Brendan Marks of The Athletic, a video surfaced Monday of both Sharpe and teammate Armando Bacot partying without masks, so it's entirely possible that contributed to the cancellation of this game. It's unclear if Monday's announcement will affect Saturday's matchup against Virginia, or if Bacot or Sharpe will face any disciplinary action as a result of the video.

Impact The Tar Heels only scored 50 points in what was a woeful offensive performance, but Sharpe made his presence felt off the bench and carried North Carolina at times. He has started just three games this season, and while his role won't change going forward, Sharpe should remain productive due to his activity and production off the bench on a regular basis.

Impact Sharpe continues to build his stock as a legit NBA prospect and delivered another impressive performance against the Wolfpack -- he paced the team in rebounds and finished as the second-highest scorer despite coming off the bench. Sharpe only has three starts this season but is still averaging 9.5 points and 7.8 rebounds across 20.1 minutes per game in 2020-21.

North Carolina-Clemson postponed North Carolina's game versus Clemson on Saturday has been postponed due to COVID-19 contact tracing issues within the Tigers' program, Rivals.com reports.

Impact North Carolina wasn't scheduled to take the floor again until Jan. 16 after Saturday, but the Tar Heels have scheduled a make-up date for the previous postponement versus Syracuse for Tuesday.

Over three games since entering the starting give, the freshman is averaging a double-double with 14.7 points and 10.7 rebounds. He saw more run than fellow center Armando Bacot down the stretch Tuesday, which is yet another good sign of things to come.

Impact Sharpe started the season on the bench and did well enough to move to the starting lineup, but this was the freshman's biggest game of the season to date -- he surpassed the 15-point mark for the first time and was also just one rebound away from what would've been his second double-double of the campaign.

He's yet to start a game this season but remains productive with eight or more points in three of five appearances to date.

Impact The Tar Heels dominated the game entirely and Sharpe was one of the big reasons why -- he finished the game as the second-highest scorer on the team while also grabbing the second-most rebounds, and he was the only UNC player that ended with a double-double. Sharpe might have a tough time cracking the starting lineup any time soon, but he should remain productive off the bench based on what he did in his debut. His next chance to feature should come Monday at UNLV.
