Impact Mirkovic came off the bench for the first time all season Wednesday, giving way to Ben Humrichous. He still played 30 minutes, logging six points and five boards, but it was definitely a down game by his standards. He was back in the starting five Saturday, and his production was right back in line with his season-long averages of 12.0 points and 8.3 rebounds. Look for similar production down the stretch.

Impact Mirkovic still notched seven rebounds and dished out three assists, but he was cold from the field Thursday night. No matter; Illinois still disposed of Rutgers with relative ease and has now won two straight Big Ten games. As for Mirkovic, his scoring has cooled down as of late but he's still averaging 12.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists as a freshman for the Illini.

Impact Mirkovic has started every game for the Illini and reached double figures in all but one, and Tuesday was his second-best scoring output of the season. He also leads Illinois in rebounding at 9.5 rpg, showing his usage and counting stats have hardly been effected by the return of Tomislav Ivisic down low. It's still early, but the international freshman has the makings of a league-winning early-season pickup.

In midst of breakout season Mirkovic registered 10 points (3-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and five assists over 22 minutes during Monday's 87-73 win over UT Rio Grande Valley.

Impact Mirkovic continues to be one of the breakout fantasy assets of the 2025-26 season and appears well on his way to all-conference honors. He's scored in double digits in all seven of Illinois' games so far this season, and is third on the team with a 15.1 ppg scoring average. He even has a signature game -- a 27-point, 21-rebound effort against Colgate on Nov. 14 -- on his resume. The schedule is about to get much tougher, however, as Illinois has upcoming games against UConn (Nov. 28), Tennessee (Dec. 6) and Ohio State (Dec. 9) ahead.
