Passes away in NYC shooting Lee was fatally wounded June 20 after he was the victim of an early morning shooting in New York City, the Associated Press reports. He was 21 years old.

Impact Eight other individuals were wounded at the gathering in Harlem, the hometown neighborhood of Lee, who was back in New York City following the conclusion of the spring semester at Houston Baptist. Lee's passing is a tragic loss for the Houston Baptist program. As a senior in 2021-22, Lee averaged 18.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.4 steals in 32.4 minutes per game over 27 appearances (24 starts). Lee was set to graduate in December and was expected to take advantage of the extra season of eligibility extended to him due to the affect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the 2020-21 campaign.
