Posts first double double of season
Skillings totaled 12 points (4-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 14 rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 110-88 win over Sacramento State.
Impact
Skillings dominated the glass, pulling down a career-high 14 rebounds to record his first double double of the season during Baylor's romp over Sacramento State. The 6-foot-6 senior has been a consistent source of production for the Bears this season, reaching double figures in scoring in six of seven games while cleaning the glass for seven or more boards on five occasions. Skilling has also dished out nine helpers over the past two games and is averaging 11.6 points, 7.6 boards and 2.7 assists across 31.1 minutes per contest.

Continues solid play
Skillings posted 14 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt) and eight rebounds across 33 minutes during Monday's 81-74 win over Creighton.
Impact
Skillings continues to play well for the Bears, reaching double figures in scoring for the fourth-consecutive game while pulling down at least seven off the glass for the third time. Skillings saw his role diminish last season in Cincinnati as his minutes and offensive numbers took a decent hit across the board. However, he's taken advantage of his newfound opportunity in Waco by looking more like the player we saw in 2023, averaging 13.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 31.8 minutes thus far.

Off to solid start with new squad
Skillings contributed 12 points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 28 minutes during Sunday's 78-69 victory over Washington.
Impact
Skillings wasn't quite as effective in game two with his new squad but still reached double figures for the second-consecutive contest to help lead the Bears to a nice win over the Huskies. The senior wing transferred in from Cincinnati in the offseason and brings with him plenty of Big 12 experience after playing in 100 contests with 28 starts over the past three seasons with the Bearcats. Skillings had a bit of a down year last year after posting career-high marks of 12.9 points and 6.4 rebounds two years ago with Cincinnati. Baylor is hoping Skillings can reclaim that form this season as he plays a major role for a squad that completely turned over their roster in the offseason. He's off to a promising start.

Set to return to college hoops
Skillings will return to college basketball and play for Baylor during his senior season, per Isaac Trotter of CBSSports.com.
Impact
Skillings spent three years with Cincinnati, but entered the NBA Draft while also transferring to Baylor this offseason. The guard averaged 9.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 22.8 minutes last season, which entailed 29 appearances and 13 starts. With one season of eligibility remaining, Skillings will now look to crack the starting five in Waco.

Skillings has entered his name into the 2025 NBA Draft process, Jeff Borzello of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Skillings will explore opportunities available at the professional level while keeping the door open for a return to college. The 6-foot-6 junior, who averaged 9.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.7 blocks with the Bearcats last season, has chosen Baylor as his home if he chooses to return to school.

Joining Baylor
Skillings has committed to Baylor for the 2025-26 season, according to Jeff Goodman of Field Of 68.
Impact
This is a huge get for Baylor, as Skillings posted a solid season as a junior with Cincinnati. He averaged 9.2 points in the previous campaign and should have a steady role in the rotation for Baylor in his senior year.

Will enter portal
Skillings will enter the NCAA's transfer portal, according to Joe Tipton of On3.
Impact
Usually, NCAA juniors use its transfer portal to maximize their senior year's upside. Skillings is no exception, especially after the guard's junior-year role declined midseason.

Closes on high note
Skillings accumulated 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt), four assists, one block and two steals over 27 minutes during Saturday's 78-67 loss to Oklahoma State.
Impact
Skillings came off the bench to record his best offensive performance in two months, shooting a season-best 7-for-13 from the field en route to his first 15-point performance since early January. The junior guard also added a season-high four assists to go along with his strong defensive play. Following last season's 12.9 point, 6.4 rebound breakout, Skillings was expected to be one of the stars for a Cincinnati club that was ranked 20th in the preseason AP poll. However, Skillings struggled significantly, averaging just 9.2 points and 3.7 rebounds while losing his starting spot midseason. Likewise, the disappointing Bearcats finished with a conference record of 7-13 and will almost certainly be on the outside looking in of the NCAA tournament unless they put together an improbable run through next week's Big 12 tournament.

Produces off bench
Skillings had 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 3Pt), seven rebounds, one block and two steals in 21 minutes during Wednesday's 62-59 loss to West Virginia.
Impact
Skillings came off the bench for the sixth-consecutive game, reaching double figures in scoring for the first time in a month while adding a season-high seven boards. The junior guard had averaged 11.2 points across 26.3 minutes through 12 starts but saw those numbers decrease to 6.4 points across 19.2 minutes in five games off the bench prior to Wednesday. Skillings has seen major regression this season, falling from 12.9 points and 6.4 rebounds last year to 9.7 and 3.7 this year, losing his starting gig in the process.

Cold streak continues
Skillings contributed four points (1-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one rebound and one block in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 69-66 loss to Utah.
Impact
Skillings has now gone without a three-pointer made in four consecutive contests and is shooting just 27.3 percent from the field over that span. The drought has brought his season-long average down to 10.9 ppg, a full two points less than last season's mark with the Bearcats.

Drains five from downtown
Skillings racked up 18 points (6-11 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-4 FT), two rebounds and two blocks over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 68-48 loss to Baylor.
Impact
Skillings drained five from downtown en route to a team-leading 18 points. It was the third-consecutive game that Skillings has scored exactly 18. The junior wing missed six games earlier this season with a knee injury and upon his return shot just 2-for-13 from three during his first four games back in the lineup. However, over the last three he's caught fire from beyond the arc, connecting on 50-percent of his 22 shots during that stretch.

Paves way for Bearcats in defeat
Skillings posted 18 points (7-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 70-67 loss to Kansas State.
Impact
Skillings posted a season-high 18 points to lead the way for the Bearcats. The junior guard has started four of five games since returning from a knee injury on Dec. 8, averaging 10.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.0 blocks during that stretch. After having averaged 12.8 points and 6.2 rebounds last season during conference play, Skillings will look to match or exceed those numbers during this conference season and is off to a good start in the scoring department.
