Hits transfer portal Bishop has placed his name in the transfer portal, VerbalCommits.com reports.

Impact Bishop logged nearly 16 minutes per game for the Hawks in 2021-22, but that's down more than 10 minutes per contest from a season ago and Bishop only started one contest after starting 13 in 2020--21. Those factors likely led to his decision to move on from the program. However, this marks Bishop's second transfer, so there is a chance he will be forced to sit out a season, though he could be a grad transfer. Either way, Bishop should have two seasons of eligibility remaining at his next destination.

Impact After starting 13 games for the Hawks last season, Bishop is back in the starting lineup against Rhode Island. The junior guard averaged 7.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 27.6 minutes last season. Entering off the bench this year, Bishop is averaging 4.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and just 0.3 assists in 17.7 minutes per game.

Impact It was an odd rotation for the Hawks, who usually run their starting five for most of the night, but Bishop saw a big basket and was rewarded with additional minutes. He saw only eight in their blowout win over Richmond last week and this was just his second game in double-digits all season.
