Joins Florida State Schwieger has committed to Florida State, Joe Tipton of On3.com reports.

Impact Schwieger has found his third school in as many years as he joins the Seminoles for his senior season. He made 34 appearances (11 starts) for Wake Forest last season, averaging 5.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.6 blocks across 20.3 minutes per game.

Impact Schwieger has started three of the last four games while frontcourt running mate Omaha Biliew has been working through a foot injury, but it hasn't been enough to make much of a fantasy impact. Schwieger has averaged just 5.8 ppg over that four-game stretch, his rebounding numbers have declined, and his best outing -- a season-high nine points against North Carolina on Jan. 10 -- came in the one game of that run when Biliew was given the start. In other words, there's not much fantasy value in the Wake Forest frontcourt outside of perhaps Tre'Von Spillers (11.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg).

But recently, Schwieger suffered an ankle sprain severe enough that he will miss the Demon Deacons' preseason game and potentially more. The first week of their 2025-26 season sees Wake hosting American and Morehead State, the latter on Nov. 7. While not for certain, Schwieger is now unlikely to play in either matchup, so it would not be surprising if the Demon Deacons use their upcoming exhibition to determine how they will operate without him.
