Kennard Davis Jr. - Scorching hot from deep Davis accumulated 20 points (7-11 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and two steals in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 68-48 win over West Virginia. Impact Davis caught fire from deep, draining 5-of-6 from downtown en route to a season-high 20 points as the Cougars routed the Mountaineers in the second round of the Big 12 tournament. The junior wing has hit 13 triples at a 52.0-percent clip over the last three games and has scored at least 15 points in each, the first time all season he's reached double figures in three straight. The Cougars were hit hard by the loss of Richie Saunders but with the postseason underway, it looks as though Davis is officially stepping up as the third option alongside AJ Dybantsa and Robert Wright.
