GAME LOG
First game action since January
Griffin logged one rebound, one assist and one block across seven minutes off the bench in Wednesday's loss to Providence.
Impact
Griffin is back from a three-game absence and ready to provide a depth role for the Musketeers, but don't count on the senior to make much of a fantasy impact.

ROTOWIRE
Will play Wednesday
Griffin (COVID-19 protocols) will be in uniform for Wednesday's game against Providence, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Griffin was expected to make his return Wednesday after missing the previous three games and now that can be confirmed. The big man utilizes his limited minutes fairly efficiently, averaging 4.8 points and 4.9 rebounds over just 12.5 minutes per contest on the season.

Expected to return Wednesday
Griffin (COVID-19 protocols) is expected to play in Wednesday's game against Providence, Adam Baum of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Impact
Griffin hasn't played in any of the last three games due to COVID-19 protocols, but coach Travis Steele said that he should be back on the court during Wednesday's matchup. He averaged 3.6 points and 4.0 rebounds over 8.8 minutes per game over his five appearances prior to his absence.

Officially unavailable
Griffin (COVID-19 protocols) is unavailable for Sunday's game against Butler, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact

Not warming up Sunday
Griffin (COVID-19 protocols) isn't warming up ahead of Sunday's game against Butler, Adam Baum of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Impact
Griffin has missed the last two games due to COVID-19 protocols, and it appears as though he'll be sidelined once again Sunday. If he's indeed held out, Jason Carter and Zach Freemantle should continue to see plenty of minutes for Xavier.

ROTOWIRE
Questionable for Sunday's game
Griffin (COVID-19 protocols) is questionable ahead of Sunday's game against Butler, Adam Baum of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Impact
Griffin has yet to return to practice due to COVID-19 protocols, so his availability ahead of Sunday is unclear. The reserve has yet to start a game this season, so if he misses Sunday, Jason Carter and Zach Freemantle will continue to see a large share of minutes in the frontcourt.

ROTOWIRE
Ruled out for Tuesday
Griffin (COVID-19 protocols) will not be available for Tuesday's game against St. John's, Adam Baum of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Impact
Griffin will not be out of the team's COVID-19 protocol by Tuesday's game and so his next chance to suit up would come Feb. 21 against Butler. The 6-8 senior has averaged 8.5 minutes over the last four games so his absence won't pose a major effect on the final score.

Won't play Saturday
Griffin will miss Saturday's game against UConn due to COVID-19 protocols, Adam Baum of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Impact
Griffin has seen his role scaled back of late and is coming off of just four minutes of action against Butler in the last game. Even so, the senior's absence will leave the Musketeers' frontcourt down some depth. His next opportunity to suit up arrives Tuesday on the road at St. John's.

Performs efficiently off bench
Griffin recorded five points (2-2 FG, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and one block in 10 minutes in the 74-73 win over Providence on Sunday.
Impact
Griffin had an all-around good performance in the win Sunday. The forward once again played his supporting-cast role well. He went perfect from the floor, excluding a single miss from the line and grabbed a handful at the boards. Griffin does not move the ball around much or play aggressive defense, but he does play the paint exceptionally and will continue to be that role moving forward.
