Impact Though he plays a small role in the Knights offense, Mahan's offensive struggles this season continued. The senior guard is averaging 5.8 three-point field goal attempts per game this season, making just 20 percent of his shots. Wednesday marked the third straight game that Mahan shot worse than 30 percent from behind the arc. Expect Mahan to continue firing from the field, but to score more efficiently as the year progresses.

Impact After missing last Friday's game with an ankle issue, Mahan was back to his regular workload both in terms of shot volume and minutes played. While his game-high scoring effort wasn't enough to hold off a narrow defeat, the outlook for the Knights improves tremendously with their leading rebounder (5.3 rpg) and second-leading scorer (14.1 ppg) in the lineup. UCF next hosts South Florida on Wednesday.

Impact Mahan missed Friday's win over Tulane with a minor ankle injury but will return to the lineup after just a one-game absence. The 6-5 senior had his best game of the season when he put up 25 points and 10 rebounds against the Bearcats on Dec. 22 and will look to replicate that performance in Sunday's rematch.
