Slated to redshirt Hawthorne (calf) is expected to redshirt the 2025-26 season, Cameron Drummond of Kentucky.com reports.

Impact Hawthorne has been tending to a calf injury recently, but he was left off the team's official injury report Tuesday. However, the freshman will likely be unavailable, as the team intends to have Hawthorne redshirt. Of course, injuries could force him into action, but it's unlikely he'll see the floor at all this season.

Dealing with calf problems Hawthorne is dealing with calf issues and is not expected to play Tuesday at Vanderbilt, Cole Parke of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Hawthorne has yet to appear in a game this season, which looks to be due to health issues regarding his calf. Kentucky head coach Mark Pope spoke about the idea of redshirting the freshman forward, but this idea was squashed as he believes Hawthorne could be a contributor later in the season. Still, it's unknown when or if Hawthorne will be back to 100 percent.
