Sits out Saturday
Stanley (knee) did not take the court in Saturday's 74-63 victory over Appalacian State.
Impact
Stanley had to be helped off the court just two days earlier, so it wasn't too surprising to see the senior sit this one out. The Monarchs pulled off the victory in his stead, with fellow upperclassman frontcourt player Mekhi Long logging 17 points and 12 boards across 38 minutes. Stanley's next chance to see the court will be Wednesday against Southern Miss.

Helped back to locker room
Stanley suffered an apparent injury early on in the second half of Thursday's game against James Madison and was helped back to the locker room, Marc Davis of WTKR News 3 reports.
Impact
Stanley appeared to be in significant pain as he went down to the floor and eventually made his way back to the locker room. It's unlikely an injury designation will be revealed while Thursday's action carries on, and it does not seem plausible that he will make a return.

Returns to action Thursday
Stanley (hand) returned from a six-game absence Thursday against Georgia State and finished with four points (1-3 FG, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and an assist in across 15 minutes.
Impact
Stanley was out since mid-January after suffering a broken hand and was brought off the bench for the first time since Nov. 14. The Xavier transfer presumably will find his way back into the starting lineup sooner rather than later. For the year, he's averaging 10/1 points and 4.1 rebounds over 23.5 minutes per contest.

Back from knee rehab
Stanley (knee) chipped in five points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block over 17 minutes during Sunday's 88-48 victory over Norfolk State.
Impact
Stanley missed the first three games of the season while recovering from a knee injury that limited his 2020-21 season to just four games. Coach Travis Steele said at one point that Stanley wouldn't take the court until he feels like himself again, and it appears that day has now arrived. Now back in action, look for the Hampton transfer to provide power forward depth for the Musketeers.

Still rehabbing injury
Coach Travis Steele relayed Thursday that Stanley said he isn't feeling like himself and will continue to rehab until he does, Adam Baum of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. He's no...
Impact
Stanley should be considered out indefinitely for the time being, with the senior still not feeling at ease with the knee damaged by an ACL tear last January. The senior could be back at some point this season, but he'll likely be limited to an extent once he's ready to rejoin the action.

Back from knee injury
Stanley (knee) had three points (1-5 FG, 1-2 FT) and eight rebounds across 14 minutes in Friday's 100-59 exhibition victory over Ferris State.
Impact
Stanley's 2020-21 season with Xavier was cut short after just four games, as the Hampton transfer suffered a torn ACL during Big East play in early-January. His recovery appears to be complete given his presence in a low-stakes exhibition matchup, so the 6-6 senior could be called upon for minutes early on given the team's various frontcourt injuries. He saw the second-most rebounds in the exhibition, and while it wasn't a great shooting day, Stanley won't be called upon as the primary scorer. He did put up 22.0 points and 7.2 rebounds during the 2019--20 season with Hampton, though this is a much deeper, high-major roster.

Done for season
Stanley will miss the remainder of 2020-21 after suffering a torn ACL during Wednesday's game versus St. john's, Adam Baum of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Impact
Stanley had turned in a pair of good efforts in a row prior to exiting Wednesday's contest prematurely. Unfortunately, the knee issue has confirmed to be a major one and will prevent him from retaking the floor for the remainder of the campaign, leaving the Musketeers down a little depth in the frontcourt moving forward. If he can make a full recovery, Stanley should regain a role in the rotation next season.

Apparent knee injury Wednesday
Stanley appeared to suffer a knee injury in Wednesday's victory over St. John's, Adam Baum of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Impact
While initial reports didn't look good, Baum later added that Stanley eventually returned to the court and gave coach Travis Steele the "thumbs up" sign. Stanley, a transfer from Hampton, has provided the Muskateers with forward depth in Big East play, averaging 9.8 mpg through his first four games of the year. His playing time appeared to be on the rise, but he should now be considered questionable for Sunday's showdown with Providence.
