Impact Bacot missed just one game due to a shoulder problem, but as he recorded two double-doubles before being sidelined for the Dec. 4 against Virginia Tech, he's also posted that feat in back-to-back games since returning to the hardwood. The star big man has six double-doubles over his last seven appearances and has recorded at least 10 points and nine rebounds in all but one game during the current campaign, cementing his place as one of the best big men in the country.

Impact Bacot was a full participant in warmups, and he is expected to make his return against the Yellow Jackets. The 6-foot-11 senior was unable to suit up during Sunday's matchup with Virginia Tech, but it appears the shoulder injury that held him out of the contest wasn't major. Bacot has been the face of North Carolina's program this season, logging 16.1 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks on 33.8 minutes per game. Bacot and the Tarheels will look to get back on track against Georgia Tech, as they are currently riding a four-game losing streak.

Impact Heading into Sunday's contest, Bacot wasn't known to be dealing with an injury until North Carolina announced shortly before opening tip that the big man wouldn't start due to the shoulder injury. Bacot was spotted warming up with the team and still looked like a candidate to come off the bench, but he ultimately didn't see the floor in the Tar Heels' eight-point loss. He disclosed after the game that he hasn't been able to practice since suffering the injury in last Wednesday's loss to Indiana, so Bacot looks as though he could be at risk of missing additional time. North Carolina returns to action Saturday versus Georgia Tech.
