Impact Bonke had his third double-double in four games. He was somewhat limited by foul trouble, but it appears he will get close to 30 minutes when not limited by fouls. The 7-2 junior has 10 blocks in his last three games. It was great to see him be productive against a team like Virginia Tech, which bodes well for American Conference play.

Impact Bonke has played like a man possessed in the early season with the 49ers. Through three games, he has a pair of double-doubles with averages of 11.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks. The 7-2 Providence transfer is clearly the main man in the Charlotte frontcourt and might be a factor in the American Conference regular season play.

Headed to Charlotte Bonke has announced his commitment to UNC-Charlotte.

Impact Bonke will join the 49ers following a one-year stint with Providence. The 7-foot-2 sophomore appeared in 16 games with the Friars, averaging 1.3 points and 1.2 rebounds on 6.5 minutes per game.
