Done for season
Harris (undisclosed) will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign.
Impact
Harris will reportedly continue to practice and participate in other team activities, so it appears his absence for the remainder of the season could be academics-related. He will work to rejoin the fold during 2022-23, but his absence will leave 11.8 minutes per game to spread among others in the rotation.

Sitting out again
Harris (undisclosed) will miss Tuesday's game against Miami, Brendan Marks of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Harris will skip his second consecutive contest for an undisclosed reason, leaving the Tar Heels' backcourt shorthanded again. Look for other regulars in rotation to see some boosted minutes Tuesday in an uptempo game that figures to feature plenty of scoring.

ROTOWIRE
Status unclear for Tuesday
Coach Hubert Davis had no update on Harris (undisclosed) ahead of Tuesday's game against Miami, C.L. Brown of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Impact
Harris did not play in last Saturday's game against Georgia Tech due to an undisclosed reason. Harris has played mostly a bench role this season, so it shouldn't affect North Carolina's ability to win against the Hurricanes.

ROTOWIRE
Not available Saturday
Harris is not available for Saturday's game against Georgia Tech.
Impact
The reason for Harris' absence and his expected return date are not yet clear. He's only scored 2.6 points per game this season, so North Carolina shouldn't have to alter their plans too significantly Saturday.

Back from concussion
Harris had six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and a steal across 11 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 99-54 rout of Louisville.
Impact
The Tar Heels were able to empty their entire bench in Saturday's blowout victory, but during that process, Harris was able to log his second-highest scoring total of the season. While healthy, he'll likely be clawing for minutes moving forward for a North Carolina team with a deep backcourt.

In uniform and warming up
Harris (concussion) is in uniform and is going through warmups ahead of Saturday's game against Louisville, Brendan Marks of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Harris suffered a concussion in the loss to Virginia on Feb. 13 and was forced to miss Wednesday's matchup against Northeastern while still in protocol. He's in uniform and warming up ahead of tip-off which should translate well for his potential availability in Saturday's game.

Out after suffering concussion
Harris (concussion) will not play in Wednesday's game against Northeastern.
Impact
Harris suffered the concussion in the team's last game against Virginia. He is currently going through protocol and is hopeful to be back on Saturday against Louisville, provided that game still happens as the Cardinals have been dealing with a ton of COVID-19 related issues.

Makes long awaited return
Harris (knee) had five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3PT) and three assists in nine minutes as the Tar Heels lost 82-75 to Florida State on Saturday.
Impact
Harris made his season debut when he checked into the second half of Saturday's game against Florida State. The 6-5 guard hadn't played since tearing his ACL against Yale in December of 2019 but quickly made an impact as he accumulated all five points and three assists in his first five minutes on the floor. Harris is known for his energy and should continue to bring a spark off the bench now that he's finally playing again.

Working closer to return
Head coach Roy Williams said Tuesday that Harris (knee) has upped his involvement in practice and is getting closer to returning, Ross Martin of InsideCarolina.com reports.
Impact
Harris has yet to play this season while recovering from a torn ACL suffered last season. His increased workload in practice shows he's making strides in his recovery, but it remains unclear when he'll receive clearance for game activity. Meanwhile, R.J. Davis, Kerwin Walton and R.J. Davis will continue holding things down in the backcourt.

Warming up Tuesday
Harris (knee) is warming up ahead of Tuesday's game against Syracuse.
Impact
Although no official word on whether or not he'll play, Harris, nevertheless, is warming up with his teammates. Harris hasn't taken the court yet this season but that streak may ultimately end Tuesday.

ROTOWIRE
No timetable set
Harris (knee) remains without a timetable for return, a school spokesman relayed to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact
Harris and the Tar Heels are scheduled for a Dec. 19 matchup against Ohio State, but it doesn't appear the redshirt freshman has much of a shot to suit up for that contest. In the meantime, RJ Davis and Caleb Love have been holding down most of the backcourt minutes for UNC, with Andrew Platek and Kerwin Walton contributing in a reserve capacity.

ROTOWIRE
Remains out
Harris (knee) is not playing Saturday against North Carolina Central, according to Brendan Marks of The Athletic.
Impact
Roy Williams said he'd provide updates on Harris' status when there were some, but Harris "isn't there yet." North Carolina's next game comes Dec. 19 at Ohio State, and it remains to be seen whether he will be available for that contest -- but chances are minimal given the lack of progress from his injury.

Harris (knee) was ruled out for Wednesday's season opener against Charleston, Ross Martin of Inside Carolina reports.
Impact
Head coach Roy Williams said Thursday that Harris has been getting more involved recently, but he still hasn't been fully cleared as he continues to recover from a torn ACL. His status for the team's game against UNLV on Nov. 30 could come into focus based on when he can resume practicing in full.
